There are a few Holidays we are closed so that our employees may spend time with their families. The following holidays will be put on an automatic one (1) day delay:  New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

If there is severe enough weather that we must either close completely or pull our trucks in early, we will attempt to make contact with you just to keep you up to date. This will usually also cause a one (1) day delay. Luckily, we do not have this happen too often.

In an effort to keep out rates low we ask that you follow the following guidelines

 * All trash must be bagged in a strong, bag and must be tied. Loose items CANNOT be handled.  Branches, boxes, and other bulky items are to be bundled and tied.  An average pickup shall be no more than 10 bags or 4-5 smaller cans or 1 95-gallon toter.  We understand at different times you may have more, the quantity picked up will be to the driver’s discretion unless prior arrangements have been made.  Excessive pickup is subject to an additional charge.

 * Bags and bundles are to be 25 pounds or less.  To minimize the likelihood of bags tearing, please be especially mindful of weight limits when disposing of paper, books, magazines, dirt, weeds, lawn clippings, etc.

 * Trash is to be brought out to the end of the driveway, and placed at the curb no later than 7 am.  If your trash is not road side, your trash will not be picked up.

* Empty boxes must be broken down, flattened and bundled together, or if filled with packing materials, must be sealed with tape.

 * Waste oil is to be placed in a sealed container, and labeled for recycling.  Please set aside from regular refuse so that we know it’s recyclable.

 * Liquid paint, deck sealers and other items of this nature can not be included with regular refuse as it is considered hazardous waste.  However, latex and oil based paint can be left to air dry and solidify to solid waste.  One of the best methods is to simply mix equal amounts of paint with kitty litter.  Once the mixture is hard, just place it with your regular refuse. Please contact our office prior to having these items with your trash so that we can verify the items are acceptable. If you have a large amount of paint, you might consider disposal at your local hazardous waste location.

 * To prevent littering the streets, Styrofoam packing materials (peanuts, balls, etc) must be enclosed in a securely tied bag or placed inside a taped box or they will not be picked up

*For sanitary reasons, pet feces should be sealed/tied in double plastic bags.

 * Large and/or heavy items must be called in ahead of service date.  These items are subject to additional fees.

  * All lawn clippings should be contained in sealed bags weighing no more than 25 pounds.  Excessive grass, leaves and lawn clippings are subject to an extra charge.  PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW ANY LANDSCAPING SERVICE TO LEAVE LAWN CLIPPINGS FROM ANOTHER ADDRESS AT YOUR STOP.

  * Limbs must be 48” or less in length, in bundles no larger than 4” in diameter, and no heavier than 25 pounds per bundle.  To minimize the likelihood of bags tearing, please be especially mindful of weight limits when disposing of lawn clippings, dirt, weeds, etc.

WE WILL NOT REMOVE DEAD ANIMALS OR CARCASSES OF ANY SIZE.  However, if this service is needed, please contact our office as we have information regarding companies who handle this sensitive removal.

For public health and safety reasons, THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL NOT BE COLLECTED (including but not limited to) hazardous waste, roofing material, construction or remodeling debris done by a contractor, drywall, dirt, rock, steel shavings, concrete, hot ashes, automotive parts, tires, batteries, liquid paint, deck sealants, motor oil, fuels, antifreeze, solvents, pool/hot tub chemicals, explosives, firearms, ammunition, fireworks, compressed tanks such as propane/helium/oxygen flammable materials, radioactive material, pathogens, poisons,  toxic waste, acidic waste, asbestos, biomedical waste such as needles and/or syringes or volatile material.

If any of the above listed items are found in your containment, customer is subject to a minimum $150 fine.

Please understand that all loads must meet Department of Transportation requirements.  If any damages or fines occur against RT Services Corp. for the disposal of any waste deemed by State and/or Federal law, you the customer will be held responsible.

RT Services Corp. is not responsible for damages beyond curb line, damage to plastic cans, missing cans and/or lids.

Late fees will be assessed to accounts past due.  Processing fees will also be applied to accounts that are being re-billed.  Accounts that cancel may be subject to additional processing fees. If payment is not made by the scheduled due date, the account may be placed on hold until paid in full without further notice from RT Services Corp.
